Using a Slow Cooker to Serve up Pork Loin Goodies

There’s nothing quite like pork loin on the table to whet your appetite; armed with a crock pot, you’ll be able to present concoctions that will have people coming back for second helpings.

Braised Pork Loin

This is one crock pot dish that’s very simple to prepare. Just get some garlic (4 cloves, sliced), pepper, salt, half a teaspoon of thyme, 4 lbs of pork loin, a cup of chicken broth and flour (1/4 cup),

Step one is to cook the pork loin on a skillet, until it turns into a brownish color. Using a kitchen knife, make some diagonal slices into the pork where you can put in some of the garlic. Now place it in the crock pot and sprinkle some of the pepper, salt, as well as some of the thyme. Pour in some of the broth and let it cook for about 10 hours.

When it is cooked, get a bowl and combine the flour with cold water. Now adjust the crock pot setting to high, and pour in the flour. When the sauce is thick enough, the dish may be served with fried rice.

South Pacific Pork Loin

For this recipe, you will need some garlic powder, an onion (sliced), salt, pepper, 4 lbs of pork loin (boneless), sugar (1/4 cup), hot water (1/4 cup), a couple of tablespoons of soy sauce, 3 tablespoons of red wine vinegar and a couple of tablespoons of red sherry.

You should also have half a teaspoon of ground ginger, and a tablespoon of ketchup. Two bell peppers (1 red and green, both sliced), an 8 ounce can of pineapple chunks (remove the juice), a couple of tablespoons of cold water.

Commence by sprinkling some pepper, garlic and onion onto the pork loin to give it flavor. Cook it in a skillet until the color changes into a brown. Now put some of the onion into the crock pot, and put the pork roast on top of it.

Now in order, pour in the ketchup, red wine vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, sherry, hot water, and the ginger. On a low cooking level allow it up to 11 hours to cook properly. After 10 hours, sprinkle some of the peppers and pineapple chunks into the pork loin.

After you mix the cornstarch with cold water, pour this into the crock pot and set it to high. You’ll know it’s finished when the gravy gets thick.

Almost everyone loves pork loin, but most lack the confidence to actually go out and make one. But as you can tell, there’s really nothing to it; just get the proper ingredients and with your crock pot in hand, your friends will be asking you to host dinners more often.
