Pork Roast Delights with Your Slow Cooker
aOne of the best things about a slow cooker pork roast dish is that for all the seasonings and ingredients you put in, the original taste still comes through and complements the additional flavors. Treat your family to more unusual, but no less delicious meals, courtesy of the recipes below.
Pork Roast with Brown Sugar
The ingredients are brown sugar (1 and 1/3 cups), 6 pounds of pork loin, garlic (1 clove, chopped), a tablespoon of mustard, balsamic vinegar (1 tablespoon) and ¼ of teaspoon of cinnamon.
Slice the pork roast (the thickness depends on you), and after getting rid of the excess fat, spread the chopped onion all over the surface. Now get your pepper and salt and spray the onion laced roast. To make sure that the flavor goes all the way through, pierce the pork using a fork.
Now pour the sugar, vinegar and mustard into a small bowl, and stir them well. Sprinkle this concoction over the pork roast and place inside the slow cooker. At a low setting this will take about 9 hours. When it’s cooked, remove the overflowing juices.
Take the cinnamon and combining it with more brown sugar, dispense over the roast. Allow it to cook for another hour (low). Finally, add some mashed potatoes and several vegetables, and you’ve got a complete meal.
Chutney Pork Roast
For this slow cooker recipe, 4 pounds of roast are required, and also some pepper and salt as well; a sweet onion (sliced), garlic powder (half a teaspoon), and a 12 ounce jar of peach or mango. You’ll also need a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar, ground ginger (half a teaspoon), grainy mustard (1 tablespoon), and curry powder (1 teaspoon).
You start by inserting the onion into the slow cooker. Sprinkle some salt and pepper on the pork roast, and also some of the garlic. Now put it in the crock pot. Take the ginger, curry, mango or peach and pour them over the pork roast.
Set the slow cooker to high, and leave it for about 4 hours. After it’s cooked, open the crock pot and put the roast on a plate. Take the juices and place it in a pan and mix it with cornstarch (1 tablespoon). Add a tablespoon of cold water. Mix them well and pour over the pork roast.
Dishing out these kinds of recipes will present little difficulty, and it’s actually enjoyable. If you’re pressed for time and want your meal ready when you are done with your duties, learning to cook pork roast on a slow cooker can be a real time saver.
