Squash with Green Beans
This vegetable meal requires apple juice (about a cup), melted butter (about 4 tablespoons), brown sugar (1/4 cup), a 4 lb butternut squash, green beans and half a teaspoon of cinnamon.
After you remove the stem and seeds from the butternut squash, take some of the apple juice and sprinkle into the slow cooker. Next use a small bowl and mix in the cinnamon, brown sugar and the butter. Now place the squash inside the crock pot, and spray some of the sugar/butter/cinnamon mix. Add the green beans.
Take the other half of the butternut squash on top, and sprinkle more of the sugar. Close the slow cooker and press “low”. After 7 hours, the dish will be cooked.
Spinach Soufflé
For this dish, a couple pounds of frozen spinach (drained), half a cup of mayonnaise, grated onion (1/4 cup), cream cheese (8 ounces), shredded cheese (half a cup), a couple of beaten eggs, green beans, white pepper, and some nutmeg.
Combine the spinach and onions, and add the eggs, nutmeg, cream cheese, cheese, green beans and the eggs; dash some of the pepper and salt into the mix. Pour everything into your slow cooker. Setting the crock pot to high will cook it in 3 hours.
Marmalade Carrots with Green Beans
The following are necessary: 32 oz of small carrots, a tablespoon of water, half a cup of marmalade, some green beans, a tablespoon of butter, brown sugar (2 tablespoons), nutmeg (1/4 teaspoon), half a teaspoon of cinnamon, cornstarch (1 tablespoon is enough), salt and pepper.
