Pork Roast with Rosemary and Rutabaga
This crock pot pork roast recipe calls for the following: a 4 lb pot roast, a 10 ounce can of undiluted beef broth, olive oil (1 tablespoon), black ground pepper (half a teaspoon), a teaspoon of salt, 2 medium sized carrots (chopped), rosemary (1/3 tablespoon), a couple of pieces of rutabaga (chopped fine), 1/3 cup of cold water, flour (1/3 cup) and 5 medium sized onions (skinned).
Begin by putting the olive oil in a frying pan, and letting it heat up to medium levels. Put the meat there, and let it brown. Add some of the onions to season, and when it’s finished, transfer in the slow cooker. You may now toss in the rutabaga, rosemary, pepper, some salt, the carrots and the other ingredients. Pour in the broth last. Set it to low, and let 8 hours go by to let it cook completely.
To make the sauce for this crock pot pork roast, about an hour before it’s finished cooking, mix some flour or cornstarch with cold wager and then add this to the meat and vegetables. Put the cover back on and let it cook at a high for an hour; after that it may be placed on the serving bowl.
