Creating Tasty Pork Chop Recipes with Your Crock Pot

The sight, indeed, the smell alone of pork chops can whet the appetite of everyone at the dinner table. If you have no idea on how to use your slow cooker with pork chops, here are a couple of recipes to get you started.

Pork Chop Stew

One slow cooker dish that is certain to be enjoyed by everyone is a pork chop stew. For this treat, these ingredients are needed: flour (4 tablespoons), pork chops (loin, 6 pieces), 2 tablespoons of oil, a medium sized onion (finely chopped), 4 potatoes (medium sized, sliced into cubes); a small cabbage, sliced, and some carrots (at least 4).

Other ingredients are ¼ tablespoon of salt, half a tablespoon of pepper, bullion granules (2 tablespoons), water (1/4 cup), a can of tomatoes (stewed), half a cup of sour cream, and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch.

To make this slow cooker dish, you get rid of the fat, and spray the pork with flour. Next put the chops in a skillet (hot oil, medium heat). Put in some of the carrots, potatoes, and onions into the slow cooker. Now spray some of the flour onto the vegetables. The next step is to put in the salt, pepper, bullion granules, pork chops, cabbage, and the ¼ cup of water. Add the tomatoes last. There is no need to sir.

Set the slow cooker to high and leave it there for about four hours. Next get a small bowl, and mix the cornstarch with the sour cream. Place cooking liquid at a 2 cup measure, and pour in some milk until it is about 1 and ½ cups. Pour this onto the sour cream, and mix until it thickens.

After four hours remove the pork from the slow cooker and serve it with the cream sauce you just made.

Pork Chop with Cream

You will need a large sliced onion, one can of mushroom cream soup, 6 potatoes (small to medium, peeled), 6 pork chops (preferably boneless), and some pepper and salt.

First you prepare the slow cooker by spraying it with some cooking spray or butter. Now put in the potatoes and onions. Add some of the pork chops, some pepper and salt.

Now set the slow cooker to low and let it cook for 8 hours. Serve with the sour cream. With these ingredients, it can serve up to 6 plates.

Slow cooker pork chop recipes aren’t just tasty treats; by making them, you’ll gain the confidence to try out other dishes, and before you know it, you’re already cooking up a storm, impressing your friends and family.
