This easy crock pot recipe will give you a tender, juicy, and tasty pot roast perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas dinner, or simply a regular meal with the family at home.

You will need the following:

2-3 lbs of one whole piece of beef pot roast
A pack of baby carrots
1-2 onions, sliced into four equal pieces
Four large potatoes
6 whole pieces of garlic, crushed
One large can of cream of mushroom soup

1.) First, turn the beef into a nice shade of brown over the skillet set on high to medium high. Make sure that all sides of the roast are brown.

2.) Then, cover the bottom of the crock pot with a layer of onions. Add in a few spoonfuls of carrots and crushed garlic.

3.) Next, place the browned pot roast on top of the vegetable layer. Afterwards fill in the remaining space in the crock pot with the onions, then the potatoes, and finally the carrots and garlic, making sure that all the spaces are filled out evenly.

4.) Pour the soup over the vegetable and the pot roast layers. You can substitute any liquid of your choice for the cream of
mushroom soup. Other desirable alternatives include wine or stock.
 
5.) Cover the pot with the lid and make sure that it is secured tight. With the heat set on low cook the pot for eight to ten hours. Check on the your roast from time to time. You will know when the dish is done cooking if you see the meat falling apart and the veggies thoroughly cooked.
