Working all week, why not give yourself a treat by making some pot roast with your slow cooker? With so many variants, choosing will just about be your only problem, but you can start with these.

Pot Roast with French Onion Soup

Savor a different a kind of dish with this slow cooker delight. The ingredients include 3 lbs of sirloin tip roast, a 10 ounce can of French onion soup (condensed), basil (1/3 teaspoon), salt (half a teaspoon), pepper (1/4 teaspoon), several small onions (a 16 ounce jar will do nicely), sliced green onions (1/3 cup), and also chives.

You’ll need 4 lbs of beef, 15 oz can of tomatoes (drain the liquid), shortening (a tablespoon), pepper, coffee (1 cup), slice onion (half a cup), sliced potatoes (3 cups), 10 ounces of green peas (frozen), and some flour mixed with cold water.

Fry the pot roast in a frying pan and then put in the slow cooker. Top it off with the tomatoes, potatoes, green peas, carrots and sprinkle with coffee, adding in the salt and pepper last.

Cook this pot roast in the slow cooker for about 10 hours (on low). If sauce is too light add some flour and water to make it thicker.
